CREATED STARTUP ANIMATION FOR RAZER PERIPHERALS
I created the startup Chroma animation for Razer Peripherals, adding a double ripple effect to all Razer keyboards released from 2023 onwards. This animation is triggered when the keyboard is switched on, plugged in, or during computer startup.
I want to give a shout out to Tim Graupmann, the talented software engineer who helped create the amazing tool for converting video to firmware LED data.

EARLY CONCEPTS
There were a bunch of early concepts done and narrowed down by the team. Ultimately, the final decisions were made by Min (CEO). But here are some of my personal favourites that didn't made it to customer's keyboard.

I also designed the custom Pikachu startup Chroma animation exclusively for the Razer Pokemon Limited Edition Gaming Soundbar (which is only available in China), enhancing its appeal to Pokemon enthusiasts.

EARLY CONCEPT
The idea of the startup animation is to mimic Pikachu's Thunderbolt move. It starts with two red LEDs, which represent Pikachu's iconic red cheeks, giving off a few sparks, followed by the thunderbolt.
